The very first Young Women Broadcast (now the Women’s Session of General Conference) I ever saw was in April of 2010. During that broadcast, President Uchtdorf gave his talk “Your Happily Ever After”. For some reason or another, that talk has followed me throughout my years in the Young Women program. For six years, it has been the thing I turn to most often, apart from my scriptures, when I need some words of wisdom.
This past January I knew I really wanted to design something around this theme for New Beginnings, but nothing felt right. I created an invitation and some posters that I thought turned out well, but just didn’t feel right. And so in trying to put something together for Young Women in Excellence–since the theme fits just as well as it does for New Beginnings–I started completely fresh. I approached it from a completely different direction, and I’m SO happy with what I came out with. It is exactly what I envisioned, and once I got it to click, everything about designing it came really easily. It captures the excitement, whimsy, and elegance contained in such an amazing theme.
I have a couple freebies that you can download to make your Young Women in Excellence maybe just a little more special. First and foremost, we have Uchtdorf’s quote from the end of his talk, which I would argue has become iconic over the past 6 years.
I also have a printable poster that comes as a 16×20 JPG, and an 8.5×11 PDF. And to top things off, I have the same design as a transparent PNG that you can use in putting your program together.

The invitations for this theme are probably my favorite out of everything. They are adorable, and can really add to the excitement and anticipation leading up to the event, which is priceless, especially for new Beehives! You can buy them on Etsy today.
Through November 30th, you can get 20% off all orders over $10 with the coupon code EXCELLENCE.
And I have princess posters! These 8×10 posters feature 8 illustrated princesses and the way that they teach us about each of the Young Women values. I tried really hard to capture the spirit of each princess, and I’m so happy with how each of them turned out.
I do have some cute, free posters that have quotes and pictures of each princess, they just don’t coordinate. They are totally up for grabs, though!
